VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: Breast reconstruction has been one of the great professional passions in my life for more than 25 years. I am double board-certified, both in general surgery and plastic surgery, which I believe helps me to better understand the diseases and processes of the breast as opposed to simply being trained in breast reconstruction alone. I've maintained my certification in general surgery to this point as well.
In addition, I'm micro-surgery trained, having done a fellowship in techniques of complex breast reconstructive plastic surgery. Helping to restore a sense of wholeness in women who are either are experiencing breast cancer or who are at a high risk of development for the disease has really been a wonderfully rewarding, gratifying aspect of my life.
