Beverly Hills Microdermabrasion Skin Treatment
Microdermabrasion is derived from an age-old treatment called dermabrasion. Unlike its predecessors, however, the Diamond Peel™ system has a more modernized and gentler approach.
Maintaining the level of cellular growth on the skin surface directly relates to the freshness and youthfulness of the skin’s appearance. On average, we renew our skin surface every four to six weeks, but with age and certain health conditions, renewal can be considerably slower.
The Diamond Peel™ microdermabrasion treatment allows more control over the level and area of abrasion. This approach respects the integrity of the skin tissues and minimizes trauma. The skin can heal more evenly and naturally. It mechanically alters the epidermis, supports the collagen and elastin in the deeper dermal layers, and invigorates cell renewal to create a healthier, balanced skin surface.
After just one treatment, a patient can see fresher, clearer, more even-toned skin. The microdermabrasion process is best approached in a series of at least 6 treatments, performed every 2 weeks, to achieve better and more lasting results.
In Beverly Hills, Yon-Ka skin care products are used exclusively during the microdermabrasion treatments, and are available for purchase at our office.
Treatments take one hour and are customized for each patient.

Beverly Hills Microdermabrasion: Recuperation and Healing
Microdermabrasion requires no anesthetics.
There is no “down time” and so client may return to work or other regular activities after treatment.
After a treatment the skin may feel a bit tight and a little tingly, and there may be a slight pink appearance. If these symptoms do occur, they usually subside within a few minutes to a few hours. Because microdermabrasion temporarily dries the skin, it is important to keep it moisturized and hydrated.
The fresh newly exposed skin will be more sensitive to the sun, so a sunscreen or sunblock with an SPF of at least 30 is advised. Sunbathing should be avoided for at least a week.
It is best if the skin can “breathe,” so it is advised that only light makeup be applied for a couple of days, if possible. The client will be advised on the proper after-care of the newly microdermabrased skin.
